Volakas White marble, also known as White Floe marble, is a valuable natural stone mined in Northern Greece. Volakas Polished Marble, a marble of famous elegance, has a white background with delicate veining ranging in hue from cream to hazelnut to light grey and is reminiscent of some of the most magnificent Tuscan marble. Volakas Marble Slab is offered in two varieties: Classic (with parallel veining) and Cloudy (with specific cloudy color shadings).

White Volakas marble is a natural stone that is commonly used in classical and traditional projects, and it is capable of adding personality and beauty to rooms. Polished, honed, brushed, and sandblasted are the most common finishes for this natural stone.
In most cases, sector classification is based on aesthetic criteria. The Greek Volakas Marble is usually white/grey with alternating thick and long veins and can come in a variety of patterns.
Regarding mineral composition, Volakas is a dolomite marble. It has a different type of pulse than other Dolomites, hence the different name. Its technical properties are similar to those of other dolomites. Due to its excellent flexibility, it has excellent abrasion resistance. For large blocks, care must be taken to avoid bending the plate.

‘Volakas White’ is a fine-grained marble with gray and brown striped bands on a white background of alabaster. The stripes run diagonally across the board and cross the surface in a cloudy or wavy pattern. In addition, depending on the work, gray or red calcite lines and round calcite crystals may be seen.
