Roman Travertine Stone Slab

Travertine's hue is mostly beige, and makes people feel mild, with rich texture and clear stripes, prompting the decorated buildings to often have a strong cultural and historical flavor, and is used in many buildings around the world. The interior and exterior decoration of the Bank of China Building at the Xidan intersection in Beijing, designed by the American architectural firm Bertram, chose Italian Roman travertine, with a total of 20,000 square meters. The reason why it is not called marble is that its texture and appearance are so different from the traditional sense of marble that the decorative world simply agreed on it. About its formation is generally believed to be a calcareous material precipitated from carbonate-containing springs (usually hot springs) under atmospheric conditions.

Quality Control

We are committed to being positive & aggressive in our attitude towards quality and customer service. We will not allow quality to take second place behind cost or schedule as this is our basic strategy for growth.

* Inclusions: 

No more than two (2) pits, inclusions, contaminants, voids, or bubbles at a maximum diameter of 1.5 mm are allowed on a 1220mm X 2440mm sheet.

* All sheets are to be covered with protective masking.

* Surface: 

No more than two (2) scratches, scuffs, streaks, irregularity, or texture flaws at a maximum length of 3 mm are allowed on a 1220mm X 2440mm sheet. Surface damage will be evidenced by damages in protective masking.

* Top material surface is to be planed and smooth with no evidence of machine lines.

* Bottom material surface is permitted to be course with machine patterns.

* Aesthetics:

Bubbles or white spots:

Must be limited to 50mm in diameter to any single area on a sheet

Only two (2) bubble or white spot areas are permitted per sheet.

No single color within a shipped order may contain more than 10% of sheets with bubbles or white spots – even if the above specifications per sheet are maintained.

* Flatness: No more than 3 mm of bowing from the center of the panel to any exterior edge.

* Chips/Cracks: No chips or cracks on the corners or edges of the panel are tolerable.

Packing and Loading about Roman Travertine Slab Tiles

2, T/T: 25% deposit by T/T, the balance by copy of B/L

Trade term: Ex-work, FOB, or CIF are all acceptable

Packing detail:

Slab pack with wooden shelf or crates.

Step and tiles packing with wooden boxes.

All of the goods are inspected carefully by our QC Before delivery.

It depends on the customer's requirements and quantity. 

FAQ 

1.    What edges do you do for countertops and vanity tops?

Full or half bullnose, beveled edge, a square edge with a 3/8 inch radius relief on the top and bottom edges. Other edges are also available, please send me your requirements.

2.    How many square meters will load in a 20 feet container (27tons)?

Normally 950m2 for tile in 1 CM thick, 450m2 for 2cm, 320m2 for 3cm. Please contact me for more details.

3.    What are your main products?
  Our main products are marble slabs, tiles, countertops, vanity tops, and so on. We also customize for our clients.

4.    How long does it take to deliver products?

  The time of delivery is normally 10~25days after we receive the deposit. It mainly depends on the number of orders.

5.    Payment Terms 

1) by T/T (30% deposit,70% pay within 2 weeks after BL date )

2) By irrevocable L/C at sight.

3) Partial T.T, partial L/C

4) Other payment terms are available after negotiation. 

6.    How is your packing?

1) Strong wooden crate or pallets for finished products.

2) Wooden bundles for random slabs or gang saw slabs.
