The selection of stone mosaic needs attention to these three aspects:
1.colour
In the entire parquet pattern, the color of the same stone layout must be the same, but for some color variations (Simi, Jinxiangyu, Shanhuhong and other marbles), there are large color differences on the same board. When planning, make a distinction.
The basic principles of material selection are: one is to choose materials based on the principle of gradual transition of colors, and the other is to not affect the aesthetic decoration effect of mosaic.
If the surface effect is too poor to achieve a good decorative effect or the customer’s processing requirements, it is best to obtain the customer’s consent before processing.
2.Grain
In the processing of stone mosaic, the change of the texture of the board surface is also very important. This is especially true for high-end products with high quality, high requirements, and high artistry. It is best to combine the changes in texture with the design, so as to better show the effect of the design. The specific texture direction depends on the specific situation, and there is no absolute standard to refer to.
Generally for round mosaics, the texture can be around the circumference or along the radius. However, whether it is around the circumference or along the radius, the consistency of the texture must be guaranteed. For square parquet, the general pattern of the texture is extended along the length direction, it can also be radiated along the width direction, or it can be changed along the length and width direction at the same time.
No matter how the texture goes, the focus is on how to achieve the design and decorative effect of the stone mosaic, subject to the best decorative effect of the mosaic.
3.quality
In terms of the quality of the mosaic, the color defects, color spots, cracks, holes, trachoma, mold spots and other stone defects are absolutely not allowed. However, because the stone is naturally produced, sometimes there is no way to control it. , So many stones are more or less flawed.
Therefore, when selecting and using materials, these issues should be considered in a comprehensive manner. Those that can be avoided are avoided as much as possible, and those that cannot be avoided depend on the specific circumstances. And these defects should be repaired as much as possible. However, the allowable range of defects cannot affect the overall decorative effect of the parquet.
